Here at Ernest Cummins Ltd. We take environment and efficiency issues seriously. We have on-site paper compactors and both paper and cellophane waste is collected for recycling. We use the best low energy lighting throughout the factory.
We take full responsibility for our waste.
We offer a range of FSC, Recycled and Carbon Capture Paper and Boards to all our Clients. traceability for paper and board is important to us so we endeavour to use accredited stock from reputable suppliers. We are also part of the Woodland Trust Carbon Capture Scheme where a levy on the stock we purchase provides funds to plant more trees in the U.K. to offset the carbon footprint.
Corporate Social Responsibility is also close to our hearts. We try to give back to our community as much as possible and where we can, by a) involvement through volunteering and fundraising b) financially and through print.
We implemented site enhancements and recyclable material options for our Customers.
We are in Partnership with One in a Million School.
“One In A Million is a charity that works with children and young people, through sports, the arts and enterprise. Using formal and informal education to break cycles of deprivation over their young lives, valuing and celebrating their uniqueness, letting them know they are ‘one in a million’”.
(Co-founder, Chief Executive, Wayne Jacobs).
As Corporate Partners we open our doors to the Young people, attend their career expo’s and offer work experience. We encourage and fully support the Charity through fundraising events which plays a large part in making a better future for the next generation within the City.
Hannah Cummins is a volunteer for Inn Churches in Bradford. The Winter Shelter provides emergency bed spaces for people who are homeless, over the coldest months of the year. Hannah and the team meet and greet, serve warm meals, provide toiletries, sleep over and provide warm breakfasts over the Winter Months and particularly the Festive Period. This is the real meaning of Christmas.
We take part in the annual Bradford Manufacturing Weeks. Opening our doors to School Children from across the district. So that they can gain an insight into the roles, qualifications and expectations for entry into the Print Industry. Without such initiatives Young People can’t make vital option choices for subjects that will lead them on the right career paths for them.
We positively contribute to the protection of our Environment and are members of The Woodland Trust & World Land Trust Carbon Offset Schemes helping to secure, protect and plant Forests and Woodland.
Hannah is a Volunteer with Homeless Not Hopeless in Keighley. Who collect, sort and distribute clothes, footwear, tents, food and cut hair for and with the Homeless people across the Bradford area.
